When to Report
You should submit a report if you notice:
- Threatening, aggressive, or violent statements or behavior
- Significant changes in behavior or mood that cause concern
- Harassment, stalking, or intimidation
- Expressions of self-harm or suicide
- Other behaviors that cause fear or disrupt the university environment
If you are unsure whether to report, report anyway. The UTAP team will review the information and determine the appropriate next steps.
In an Emergency
If you believe there is an immediate threat to anyone’s safety, call 911 or contact University Police right away.
Do not wait or try to handle the situation on your own.

What Happens After You Report
Once a concern is submitted:
- The UTAP team reviews the information.
- The team assesses the situation to determine any potential risk.
- If needed, UTAP coordinates with university departments, law enforcement, and support services to provide assistance and manage the situation.
- UTAP works toward a supportive, balanced response focused on safety, intervention, and prevention.
Confidentiality
UTAP handles all reports with discretion and shares information only with those who need to know in order to protect safety and provide appropriate support.
